Does Arlo support 2FA?
Arlo does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Arlo does offer 2FA via SMS text message, email code and its own app — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Arlo adds it.
2FA methods Arlo supports
- SMS text message
- Email code
- Proprietary app
Arlo does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Arlo account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Arlo offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Arlo's official security documentation ↗. If Arlo adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
