Does Bitly support 2FA?
Bitly does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Bitly does offer 2FA via SMS text message — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Bitly adds it.
2FA methods Bitly supports
- SMS text message
Bitly does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Bitly account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Bitly offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Bitly's official security documentation ↗. If Bitly adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
