Does Discover support 2FA?
Discover does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Discover does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call and email code — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Discover adds it.
2FA methods Discover supports
- SMS text message
- Phone call
- Email code
Discover does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Discover account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Discover offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Discover's official security documentation ↗. If Discover adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
