Does Fairwinds support 2FA?

fairwinds.orgFinanceNot yet

Fairwinds does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Fairwinds does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call and email code — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Fairwinds adds it.

2FA methods Fairwinds supports

  • SMS text message
  • Phone call
  • Email code

Fairwinds does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.

How to keep your Fairwinds account secure

Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Fairwinds offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Fairwinds's official security documentation ↗. If Fairwinds adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
