Does Foursquare support 2FA?
Foursquare does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Foursquare does offer 2FA via SMS text message and email code — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Foursquare adds it.
2FA methods Foursquare supports
- SMS text message
- Email code
Foursquare does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Foursquare account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Foursquare offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Foursquare's official security documentation ↗. If Foursquare adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
