Does Pinterest support 2FA?
Pinterest does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Pinterest does offer 2FA via SMS text message and its own app — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Pinterest adds it.
2FA methods Pinterest supports
- SMS text message
- Proprietary app
Pinterest does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Pinterest account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Pinterest offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Pinterest's official security documentation ↗. If Pinterest adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
