Does Qtrade support 2FA?
Qtrade does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Qtrade does offer 2FA via SMS text message and phone call — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Qtrade adds it.
2FA methods Qtrade supports
- SMS text message
- Phone call
Qtrade does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Qtrade account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Qtrade offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Qtrade's official security documentation ↗. If Qtrade adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
