Does Remitly support 2FA?
Remitly does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. Remitly does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call and its own app — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if Remitly adds it.
2FA methods Remitly supports
- SMS text message
- Phone call
- Proprietary app
Remitly does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Remitly account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Remitly offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Remitly's official security documentation ↗. If Remitly adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
