Does SAFE Credit Union support 2FA?
SAFE Credit Union does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. SAFE Credit Union does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call and email code — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if SAFE Credit Union adds it.
2FA methods SAFE Credit Union supports
- SMS text message
- Phone call
- Email code
SAFE Credit Union does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your SAFE Credit Union account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method SAFE Credit Union offers, and stay alert to phishing. See SAFE Credit Union's official security documentation ↗. If SAFE Credit Union adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
