Does SailPoint support 2FA?

sailpoint.comSecurityNot yet

SailPoint does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. SailPoint does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call, email code, its own app and a hardware token — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if SailPoint adds it.

2FA methods SailPoint supports

  • SMS text message
  • Phone call
  • Email code
  • Proprietary app
  • Hardware token

SailPoint does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.

How to keep your SailPoint account secure

Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method SailPoint offers, and stay alert to phishing. If SailPoint adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
