Does TD Bank support 2FA?
TD Bank does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. TD Bank does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call and its own app — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if TD Bank adds it.
2FA methods TD Bank supports
- SMS text message
- Phone call
- Proprietary app
TD Bank does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your TD Bank account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method TD Bank offers, and stay alert to phishing. See TD Bank's official security documentation ↗. If TD Bank adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
