Does UBS support 2FA?
UBS does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. UBS does offer 2FA via a hardware token and its own app — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if UBS adds it.
2FA methods UBS supports
- Hardware token
- Proprietary app
UBS does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your UBS account secure
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method UBS offers, and stay alert to phishing. See UBS's official security documentation ↗. If UBS adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
