Does University of Idaho support 2FA?

uidaho.eduEducationNot yet

University of Idaho does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. University of Idaho does offer 2FA via SMS text message, phone call, its own app, a hardware token and a security key — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if University of Idaho adds it.

2FA methods University of Idaho supports

  • SMS text message
  • Phone call
  • Proprietary app
  • Hardware token
  • Security key (U2F / WebAuthn)

University of Idaho does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
