Does SugarSync support 2FA?

sugarsync.comBackupNot yet

SugarSync does not currently support authenticator-app (TOTP) two-factor authentication. SugarSync does offer 2FA via its own app — better than nothing, but an authenticator app is the more secure option if SugarSync adds it.

2FA methods SugarSync supports

  • Proprietary app

SugarSync does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.

How to keep your SugarSync account secure

Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method SugarSync offers, and stay alert to phishing. See SugarSync's official security documentation ↗. If SugarSync adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use MS Authenticator App.
