How to keep your American Airlines account secure#
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method American Airlines offers, and stay alert to phishing. If American Airlines adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use Authenticator App - Novaz.
How to recover your American Airlines account#
If you lose access to your authenticator, most American Airlines accounts are recovered with the backup or recovery codes you saved when you turned on 2FA — so store them somewhere safe, separate from your phone. If you didn't save them, use American Airlines's account-recovery or support process to regain access. Saving your recovery codes when you enable 2FA is the single best way to avoid being locked out.
