HYPE does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your HYPE account secure#
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method HYPE offers, and stay alert to phishing. If HYPE adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use Authenticator App - Novaz.
How to recover your HYPE account#
If you lose access to your authenticator, most HYPE accounts are recovered with the backup or recovery codes you saved when you turned on 2FA — so store them somewhere safe, separate from your phone. If you didn't save them, use HYPE's account-recovery or support process to regain access. Saving your recovery codes when you enable 2FA is the single best way to avoid being locked out.
