Sophos Home 2FA: How to Set Up an Authenticator App
Enable two-factor authentication on Sophos Home to stop unauthorized logins. After setup, Sophos Home asks for a rotating code from Authenticator App - Novaz in addition to your password.
A Sophos Home account is part of your security setup, so it deserves strong 2FA of its own. Besides an authenticator app, Sophos Home also offers email codes and SMS text codes. An authenticator app (TOTP) is usually the best balance of security and convenience — and it's safer than SMS codes, which can be intercepted through SIM-swap attacks.
2FA methods Sophos Home supports
- Authenticator app (TOTP)
- Email code
- SMS text message

How to recover your Sophos Home account
If you lose access to your authenticator and Sophos Home gave you backup or recovery codes when you turned on 2FA, sign in with one of them; keep them somewhere safe, away from your phone. Not every service issues codes. If Sophos Home doesn't, or you didn't save them, use Sophos Home's account-recovery or support process (or ask your admin, for a work account) to get back in.
