2FA methods Speedrun.com supports#
- Email code
Speedrun.com does not offer an authenticator-app (TOTP) option yet. Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, so it's worth requesting.
How to keep your Speedrun.com account secure#
Use a long, unique password (a password manager helps), turn on any 2FA method Speedrun.com offers, and stay alert to phishing. See Speedrun.com's official security documentation ↗. If Speedrun.com adds authenticator-app support, you'll be able to use Authenticator App - Novaz.
How to recover your Speedrun.com account#
If you lose access to your authenticator, most Speedrun.com accounts are recovered with the backup or recovery codes you saved when you turned on 2FA — so store them somewhere safe, separate from your phone. If you didn't save them, use Speedrun.com's account-recovery or support process to regain access (see the official Speedrun.com documentation ↗). Saving your recovery codes when you enable 2FA is the single best way to avoid being locked out.
