How to protect your gaming accounts with 2FA
Gamers are a huge target for account theft, and it's easy to see why: a single account can hold hundreds of dollars in skins and currency, purchased games, and years of progress. Two-factor authentication is the fix, and most platforms now offer it.

Prefer an authenticator app over SMS codes where you can — the code lives on your device and can't be SIM-swapped away.

Habits that keep your account yours
- Watch out for "free skins" and trade scams — they're phishing in disguise.
- Never share your login or 2FA code, even with a "moderator" or "giveaway."
- Use a unique password per platform.
- Save your backup codes so a new phone doesn't cost you your library.
