Is my data private in Authenticator App?
The short version: your accounts and their secret keys are stored encrypted on your device. There's no account to create, and we never receive your codes.
How it's protected
- Secrets are stored encrypted on the device, not on our servers.
- There's no sign-up, so we don't hold an email address or profile for you.
- Backups go to your own iCloud account, encrypted — not to Novaz.
- App Lock adds Face ID, Touch ID, or a PIN on top of your device passcode.
- There are no third-party ads in the app.
What this means if you need help
Because we hold nothing, we can't recover your accounts for you. That's the trade-off that keeps your secrets out of reach of anyone else — so keep a backup and your services' recovery codes.
FAQ
- Can you see which services I've added?
- No. Account names and secrets stay on your device and in your own encrypted iCloud backup.
- What does the website collect?
- Our website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that record aggregate page views only. See our privacy policy for the detail.
Keep your 2FA codes in one secure place
Authenticator App - Novaz generates your codes offline, backs them up encrypted to your own iCloud, and locks behind Face ID — free and ad-free.
