How to export your 2FA accounts
Your accounts are yours. Authenticator App lets you export them at any time, so you're never locked into the app — and you can keep an offline copy of your own.
Export your data
- Open Authenticator App and go to its settings.
- Choose the export option.
- Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your PIN if App Lock is on.
- Save the export somewhere private — it contains the secret keys for your accounts.
Store the export carefully
- Treat it like a password file: anyone with it can generate your codes.
- Keep it in an encrypted location, not in plain cloud storage or email.
- Delete old exports you no longer need.
FAQ
- Is an export the same as a backup?
- No. The iCloud backup is encrypted and restores automatically; an export is a file you manage yourself. Many people use both.
Keep your 2FA codes in one secure place
Authenticator App - Novaz generates your codes offline, backs them up encrypted to your own iCloud, and locks behind Face ID — free and ad-free.
